If you use Google Drive you already get a fair amount of free storage, well now Google is offering to bump up your storage by an extra 2Gb for free. The catch? You just have to check your security settings and the free storage will be awarded to you by the 28th of February 2015. This offer seems to be valid only up to the 17th of February so if you want the free extra storage, don't wait, do the security check now!

I went through the security check procedure and it's easy as pie. There are four parts to it which mostly include looking over your settings and clicking 'Next' to proceed to the next step. It won't take you longer than a minute to finish.

To initiate the security check, go to the Secure Account page.

Follow the prompts until you reach the end summary screen and then continue onto your account settings.

You are not given the free disk space immediately, you will have to wait until the end of the month.
