Improving slow download speeds on the PS4 and PSN I always tend to play catch up with the games I get as presents on PlayStation so the usual course of events when starting a new game is to wait for the update to finish downloading. Sometimes this can be quite a long wait, going into expected download times of longer than 24 hours.
Experimenting with ISO levels and exposure times on the Sony HX90V camera Ahead of tonight's New Year's Eve celebrations I decided to experiment a little with the Sony DSC-HX90V camera that we bought for our round the world trip. I didn't have time to play much with this camera while travelling and was really interested in its manual exposure time control so I finally took some time to do it the other night.
Mad Max sound clicking glitch and how to fix it I received the Mad Max game for Christmas this year and have been playing it like mad ever since. I must admit it was hard switching to a game that is not Doom but considering how many new games I've yet to play, it was time to move on. Mad Max is awesome in its own way but it has a very annoying sound glitch on PS4. Every so often the game begins to 'tick' in an endless loop.
Sony PS4 Remote Play on OSX connected to a Dell U3415W A couple of days ago the PlayStation Blog announced it's 3.50 System Software Update which included one of the best features released in a long time - Remote Play with support for PC and Mac! I took some time out today to check it out and I really like it.
Sony PS4 In-Ear noise reducing headset is really good The Sony PS4 In-Ear Headset was announced way back in November 2015 for a December launch date. I tried finding it then but haven't had much luck, the Playstation Australia website lists it as being sold at JB Hi-Fi, but even they didn't have these in stock. Eventually I managed to track one down though. My first impressions with this headset are really good, read on for further details.
Metal Gear Solid 5 Limited Edition PlayStation 4 I've received a txt from EB Games on the Monday afternoon telling me that I could pick up my new PlayStation 4 MGS 5 Limited Edition that evening at their midnight launch. Unfortunately I was travelling interstate early the following morning so couldn't make it. I did finally pick it up now and had a bit of a look and I'm impressed.
Use a Sony Bravia TV to power a RaspberryPi 2 running Plex I've had an ageing Apple TV 2 for quite some time now, it's been running the aTV Flash (Black) software to stream from my local file server, although that setup was mostly working fine, I was noticing a lack of features, so I've decided to replace the ATV2 with a Raspberry Pi 2 and Plex and to make it all run by drawing power from the TV itself.
